Year 5/6 Science: Exploring the Circulatory System

This week in Science, our Year 5/6 pupils have been diving into the fascinating world of the human body — specifically, the circulatory system! The children have been learning how blood travels around the body through an incredible network of vessels, powered by the heart and supported by other vital organs.

To help understand how everything connects, pupils worked in teams to map out the internal organs on a life-sized outline of a human body. Each group drew around one of their teammates on a large sheet of paper and then carefully placed and labelled the organs where they thought they belonged.

It was a fun, hands-on activity that sparked lots of discussion and curiosity. Not only did the children enjoy working collaboratively, but they also gained a deeper understanding of how the circulatory system works and how it keeps us alive and healthy.

Fantastic work, Year 5/6 — science in action!
