Year 3/4 Forest School: Conker Soap, Mud Play & Environmental Care
Our Year 3/4 children had a fantastic time at Forest School this week, taking part in a wide range of exciting outdoor activities — including making conker soap! Using tools to crush conkers, the children were fascinated to see how the mixture turned the water soapy, learning a little science along the way.
In addition to their creative exploration, the children also carried out a litter pick around the Forest School area. This sparked a thoughtful discussion about looking after our environment, sustainability, and how we care for nature both in Forest School and across Holly Grove.
The session also included plenty of fun and imaginative play — from den building to enjoying the mud kitchen and getting stuck into some good old-fashioned mud play!
It was a brilliant day of learning, teamwork, and outdoor adventure. Well done, Year 3/4!
