Year 3/4 Enjoy Autumn Sunshine During PE Lesson
Our Year 3 and Year 4 pupils recently enjoyed a fantastic PE lesson outdoors, making the most of the beautiful autumn sunshine and the colourful autumn leaves scattered across the playground.
The focus of the session was on developing football skills, including passing, dribbling, and shooting. The children worked hard to improve their technique and then put their skills to the test in a series of friendly matches.
Adding to the excitement, some pupils even had the chance to referee the games—and quickly discovered that it’s not as easy as it looks! It was a great opportunity to learn about fairness, decision-making, and leadership.
Outdoor PE lessons like this one offer many benefits:
- They promote physical health and fitness.
- They support teamwork and communication.
- They allow children to enjoy and connect with nature and the seasons.
- They build confidence and resilience through active play.
Well done to all the children for their enthusiasm and sportsmanship—it was a brilliant afternoon of learning and fun!
