Year 2 Grammarsaurus Lesson – Exploring Proper Nouns
Today in Year 2, our young learners took part in an exciting Grammarsaurus grammar lesson all about proper nouns. We began by revisiting what a noun is and created lively lists of examples together. The children worked in pairs and small groups, sharing ideas and discussing their thoughts with enthusiasm.
As a class, we explored how proper nouns are special because they name specific people, places, and things—and they always start with a capital letter! The children were quick to spot proper nouns in sentences and even came up with their own examples.
It was a fun, interactive session filled with teamwork, discussion, and lots of learning. Well done, Year 2!
