Year 1 Maths: One More, One Less Game Fun!

This week in Maths, our Year 1 pupils enjoyed a fun and interactive lesson focused on the concept of one more and one less. Using dice and counters, the children played a partner game where they took turns rolling the dice, creating numbers, and then identifying one more or one less.

As they played, pupils practised using the correct mathematical language and showed great listening skills and cooperation with their partners. The use of manipulatives helped them build numbers in different ways and deepened their understanding through hands-on learning.

It was a fantastic session full of learning, teamwork, and smiles. Well done, Year 1!
