Year 1 Art: Colourful Fish and Sea Scenes
In Art this week, our Year 1 pupils have been busy creating beautiful fish decorations using oil pastels. They explored the use of hot colours — such as reds, oranges, and yellows — to bring their fish to life with vibrant detail and creativity.
These colourful fish will soon be added to the sea backgrounds the children painted last week, where they used cold colours like blues and greens to represent the ocean. The contrast between hot and cold colours has helped the children learn about colour theory while producing stunning artwork.
The results are fantastic, and the children are rightly proud of their creations. Well done, Year 1 — your underwater world is looking amazing!
