“Learning to Cross Safely – Road Safety Week at Holly Grove”
This week at Holly Grove, we’ve been focusing on Road Safety Week, helping our children understand how to stay safe near roads.
Yesterday, we took the children outside for a practical session all about zebra crossings—what they are and how to use them properly. To make it fun and memorable, Miss Brownsley even dressed up as a road crossing person, showing the children how to stop, look, and listen before crossing.
Every child had a turn and took the activity very seriously. We talked about why it’s so important to be careful near roads and always look both ways to check for traffic.
It was a fantastic session that combined learning with real-life practice, and we’re proud of how sensible and engaged the children were.
Well done, Holly Grove—you’re on the road to safety!
