Reception Forest School: Rainy Day Adventures!
Reception class had a wonderful Forest School session today — even though the rain meant we had to adapt our plans! Instead of heading into the forest, we made great use of our outdoor area under the canopy, and with our coats on, we were ready for anything.
We started with a lively game of Duck, Duck, Goose, which got everyone moving and laughing. Then, we split into three teams and worked together to create different pathways and trails leading to the Three Bears’ Cottage. Using a mix of materials — including some of our construction play toys — the children showed fantastic teamwork, listening to each other’s ideas and taking turns.
Despite the weather, it was a brilliant session full of creativity, cooperation, and outdoor fun. Well done, Reception — you showed great resilience and imagination!
