Nursery Children Forest school session Autumn 2025
Our Nursery children stepped into the great outdoors this week for their very first Forest School session — and what a magical experience it was! Dressed in their puddle suits and wellies, they were ready for anything the weather had in store… and it didn’t disappoint!
The session began with an introduction to the fire circle, where children learned about the special rules that help keep Forest School safe, respectful, and fun. With wide eyes and eager faces, they listened carefully and showed great understanding.
Then the real adventure began! The children played lively games like Duck, Duck, Goose, giggling as they ran through the damp grass, their boots splashing with every step. The rain only added to the excitement — turning the ground into a playground of muddy puddles, perfect for jumping, splashing, and squealing with delight.
One child summed it up perfectly:
“I loved playing in the puddles!”
Forest School is more than just outdoor fun — it’s a rich learning experience that helps children:

Despite the drizzle, the children were having lots of fun proving that sometimes the best kind of learning happens when you're a little muddy and a lot happy. We can’t wait for more Forest School adventures to come!
