Exciting Addition to Our School Grounds – New Outdoor Classroom!

We are thrilled to announce the opening of our brand-new outdoor classroom, a fantastic addition to our school that will benefit pupils and staff for years to come.

This wonderful space was donated by The Noel Sweeney Foundation, part of the Tara Group based in Burntwood, who have generously supported our school by providing the building. It will be used for Forest School sessions, outdoor play, and as a shelter for teachers and their classes during outdoor learning.

The project was made possible thanks to the fundraising efforts of our school community. Last year, we raised the funds needed to have GE Collis build the outdoor classroom for us. A huge thank you to everyone involved, especially our amazing parents who have supported us through school discos, fairs, non-uniform days, and more.

Having an outdoor classroom offers many benefits:

  • It encourages hands-on learning in nature.
  • It supports wellbeing and creativity.
  • It provides a flexible space for lessons, storytelling, and group activities.
  • It enhances our Forest School programme, giving children a safe and inspiring environment to explore.

We are incredibly grateful to The Noel Sweeney Foundation and all who helped make this vision a reality. Thank you for helping us create a space where learning and nature come together!
