This week, our Year 3 and 4 pupils took part in an exciting workshop led by Primary Futures, exploring the many roles people work in over the festive season.

The session revealed just how much planning and effort goes into making Christmas special. For some, like those in retail, preparations happen all year round—not just in the weeks before December!

Children also learned about essential roles such as hospital staff caring for patients during the holidays, road workers keeping us safe, and many more. It was fascinating to see how different jobs contribute to making the festive season run smoothly.

One pupil summed it up perfectly:
“Imagine thinking about Christmas every day!”

Our pupils asked thoughtful questions and came away with a deeper understanding of the world of work and the dedication of those who keep things moving during this busy time of year.
