Anti-Bullying Week in Year 3 & 4 – “Use Your Power for Good!”
Year 3 and 4 have been taking part in Anti-Bullying Week, an important time to reflect on how we treat others and how we can make our school a safe, happy place for everyone.
As part of the week, the children explored different scenarios involving someone being bullied. They worked together to discuss the best strategies to use in those situations—such as telling a trusted adult, supporting the person being bullied, and standing up for what is right. We also talked about how each person in the scenario might be feeling, helping us to understand the impact of bullying and the importance of empathy.
One of the highlights was listening to this year’s Anti-Bullying Week song, “Use Your Power for Good!”, which reminded us that we all have the power to make positive choices and help others.
We linked our discussions to our school’s Torch Values:
- Tolerance – accepting and respecting differences
- Ownership – taking responsibility for our actions
- Respect – treating others as we would like to be treated
- Cooperation – working together to solve problems
- Happiness – creating a positive environment for everyone
Anti-Bullying Week is so important because it helps children learn how to build friendships, resolve conflicts, and create a culture of kindness and respect. Year 3 and 4 showed fantastic teamwork and thoughtful ideas throughout the week—well done!
